[Limited space with pre-registration required. Ticket cost: $60 includes transportation and boxed lunch]
Cap off your conference experience with an afternoon at one of Los Angeles’s most celebrated cultural destinations. Perched high above the city, the Getty Center is a landmark of world-class art, striking modernist architecture by Richard Meier, and gardens with sweeping panoramic views — a setting perfectly suited to stepping back, looking at the big picture, and seeing your work with fresh eyes.

Upon arrival, attendees will collect a boxed lunch and join a peer-led facilitated conversation. After the discussion, the afternoon is yours to explore — galleries, gardens, and views of the city that remind us why this work matters. Download the free GettyGuide app before you arrive to enhance your self-guided experience.
Optional Activities for Museum Individuals
Leadership Forum | $324  [space is limited; registration open from 3/26-8/31/26]

Now in its third year, this program continues to evolve based on cohort feedback. Designed for senior-level membership professionals and repeat AMMC attendees, Leadership Forum participants connect with a trusted peer cohort through virtual sessions, an active email group, and an exclusive in-person session during the conference.

While in Los Angeles, participants will network with peers to share and discuss the challenges of managing complex membership programs in a changing world [session details will be added shortly].

Online sessions scheduled before and after the conference will allow cohort members to connect and gain valuable insights to positively impact both your organization and the museum membership field. The Leadership Forum fee includes ongoing online access to the cohort between conferences.

Recommended for the individual with primary responsibility for membership at their institutions who have held a strategic role for at least 5 years. To ensure the cohort is as broad as possible within our space constraints, we request each organization select one individual to participate. If you would like to be considered for an exception please reach out to Ruth White.

To register, click on the Museum Individual register button and select the Museum Individual + Leadership Forum option on the first page.

Peer Outreach Groups (POGs) | FREE
POGs are back for 2026 AMMC Los Angeles.

What is a POG?
These small networking groups are designed to give nonprofit membership professionals an opportunity to connect with others at the conference by getting to know each other, arranging leisure time, attending sessions, and sharing insights! The 3-4 participants assigned to each POG will be able to connect both prior to and during the conference. Each POG is self-managed by its participating members—the AMMC Inclusion Committee will make the introductions and let you take it from there. We recommend scheduling a virtual call before the conference to introduce yourselves, and so you can recognize one another at the conference. POGs can arrange to attend sessions together, meet during meals, and share notes with one another.

How do I join a POG?
Attendees will have the option to opt in to a POG as part of their conference registration. If you have already registered without opting in, you may log back into your registration to update your selection. You must opt in by August 31 to guarantee placement in a group. This year, POGs will be randomly assigned, while ensuring that colleagues from the same organization are not placed in the same group. POG assignments will be shared with participants by September 14.
