Conference Scholarships
We welcome your interest in applying for a scholarship to AMMC Cleveland (May 19–22, 2025). At no other conference can you learn more about membership fundraising through multiple sessions each day all in one destination, and build long-lasting friendships to help you continually throughout your career as you apply what you have learned and continue to grow your network.
We are grateful for the generous support of sponsors which allows us to offer a comprehensive development opportunity to membership professionals working in visitor-serving and cultural organizations, who, due to financial constraints, would otherwise be unable to attend the conference.
Three types of scholarships are available. We will be awarding one (1) full scholarship in each category. Additionally, we will be offering three (3) registration waivers, which may be awarded to any type of scholarship. While registration waivers will not cover travel expenses and hotel costs, we hope waiving registration fees will make attending the conference more accessible.

Evaluation and Award Process
AMMC’s Inclusion Committee is responsible for stewarding the scholarship process, evaluating applications, and awarding scholarships. The mission of the Inclusion Committee is to identify areas of opportunity for AMMC to become more diverse, equitable, accessible, and inclusive across three spheres of influence: the AMMC organization itself, the AMMC conference, and the membership field at large.
We hope to make conversations about diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion central to the everyday work of stewarding our membership communities, within AMMC, at the conference, and within the visitor-serving organizations we all represent. To achieve this, we evaluate scholarship applications through a DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) lens. Here's how your application will be considered:
Financial Need: We encourage you to share how this scholarship would alleviate financial constraints and allow you to participate in the valuable learning and networking opportunities offered at the AMMC conference. By doing so, it will allow us to prioritize those who face a significant barrier to attending without financial assistance.
First-Time Attendees: We are committed to expanding our community by offering scholarships to individuals who haven't previously attended the AMMC conference. However, the final selection will consider the overall quality of all applications received. We also recognize that situations change, and we value long-term engagement with our membership community.
People of Underrepresented Backgrounds: AMMC actively seeks applications from individuals from communities that have historically not received equitable investments from the nonprofit sector, such as women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people of color. We believe your unique experiences and perspectives enrich our community and scholarship program. Don't hesitate to apply even if you feel you don't meet every listed requirement.
While all the above elements are key, we are also looking for applicants who demonstrate a passion for the membership field and commitment to professional development.
